Olympic Gold Medalist

Lea Maurer (formerly Loveless) held the American record in the 100-meter backstroke from 1992-2001. At the 1992 Barcelona Olympics she earned a bronze medal in the 100 back and a Gold Medal in the 400 Medley Relay. She won the World Championship in the 100 back in 1998 breaking her own American Record.

Focus on technique and drill instruction covering all four strokes, starts and turns

Session Two: 5:30-6:45 on Aug. 29-Sept. 1

Each Session will be limited to only 50 swimmers, first come-first served
Cost: WSO Swimmers - $50 per session

Coaching Career

Maurer, a 1994 graduate of Stanford, spent seven years on The Farm as head coach of the women's swimming and diving program from 2006-12. She has coached Olympians, National Champions and American and World Record Holders. Locally, she coached Lake Forest HS to two National Championships, three State Championships and coached future Gold Medalist Matt Grevers.
